2007 SAN FRANCISCO FLOWER & GARDEN SHOWLiving Green garnered a Gold Medal at the 2007 San Francisco Flower and Garden Show at the Cow Palace. The entry was titled, "A Prince's Retreat—Gateway to a Persian Dream." The installation featured a backdrop of Luciano copper palace doors that were fretted and incised, then embellished with onyx emblems. Marcia Donahue created a magnificent stand of her Bambusa ceramica turtur umbra bursting out of a raised bed with cold hardy exotic orchids, yellow clivia, and lime green miniature cymbidiums. The sunny south end of the expansive terrace, included a white Chinese wisteria in full bloom that rambled over antique, polychromed iron fence sections from Tunisia. On either side of the terrace, living Green utilized clusters of large cast fiberglass fantasy flower lights, recently imported from Bali. They were arranged with strange "bubble rock boulders" provided by American Soil Products.
